      Ersu started to pomegranate juice and concentrate production in 2004 , realized record amount of production in 2005. In 2005, 3 million liter production was made at Ersu, Ersu is planning to increase the production amounts to 6 million liters in 2006.

      Approximately all pomegranate juice export of Turkey in 2005 realized by ERSU. ERSU has produced pomegranate concentrate with using of last tecnological machines and equipments in Turkey. Produced concentrate have exported all of the World for example; USA , England, Germany , Israel.

     Pomagranate Juice Concentrate have exported as Aseptic Bag-In-Drum. Firstly, processed all fruits packed as concentrate or pulps in Ersu. For that reason, specific aseptic bags for each fruits imports from other countries ( A.B.M.A Association of Aseptic Box Manufacturers) . In order to keep the products as hygenic and sterile, pasteurized products should be protected in aseptic packages. Aseptic Filling means ; the product which purified from harmful microorganism for healty (as trading) filled in sterile conditions, to inside sterile package without any hand touching. Products filled in aseptic bags preserved at normal storage conditions in steel or plastic drums.

     In ERSU, preservatives was not used from fruit entering till to product filling step. Fruit Juice which was packed as hygenic/aseptic with last tecnology keeps Vitamins and Mineral contents of juice at maximum level during shelf-life.

     Machines and equipments in plant are cleaned everday with ‘CIP’ process. By supplying hygenic conditions, safety food production has realized. At all stage of production (in 24 hours), the controls of raw materials, production and final product has been supplied by special/ experienced personnel in ERSU Laboratory. Auxiliary material, raw materials, process and final controls, R&D studies has been done in laboratory according to Analysis Standard. Ersu Production Story of Pomegranate Juice Concentrate

     After all the pomegranates have been controlled by quality personnel, fruit has continue on unloading- sorting and washing bands to inlet the plant. Then pomegranates comes to crushing units. Peel of the fruit crushes on this units and then all peel particules separate from fruit body. Grains are followed up with their seeds on line.

• Raw juice is taken from pomegranate grains by hydroulic press. White seeds are seperated. Seeds and peel are very valuable for medicine industry.

• After the pasteurization of raw juice, clarification process is applied. Clear juice contains more polyphenolic materials and anthosiyanine after clarification . Rich colored juice is filtered.

• Filtered juice is concentrated about dry materials by evporators. Final product named ‘concentrate’ is diluted in every season of years only with drinking water to consumption. This type of juice is named 100% of pomegranate juice is packaged by aseptically within bottles or carton papers.
